The agreement builds on a long-standing partnership between the two institutions, following an earlier cooperation programme implemented from 2017 to 2021. Since 2019, Vietcombank has also awarded annual scholarships worth VNĐ200 million to outstanding FTU students.

As one of Việt Nam's leading universities, FTU is recognised for its strengths in economics, finance and banking, business administration and international trade, producing highly skilled graduates for the country's business community.

Vietcombank, one of Việt Nam's largest financial institutions, has established a strong reputation for operational efficiency, corporate governance and digital transformation. Backed by a solid financial foundation and advanced technological capabilities, the bank continues to place people at the centre of its development strategy and sees its partnership with FTU as a way to nurture high-quality human resources while creating long-term value for society.

Building on previous joint initiatives, the two sides have agreed to establish a long-term and structured cooperation framework designed to maximise their respective strengths and resources.

Under the agreement, collaboration will focus on four key areas: education, research and human resource development; sponsorships, scholarships and social welfare programmes; banking and financial services; and communications and brand development.

An FTU representative said Vietcombank's continued support would provide students with greater opportunities for learning, research and practical experience, helping them strengthen adaptability, foster innovation and deepen their sense of social responsibility.

A key feature of the renewed partnership is the two organisations' commitment to continue working together on long-term scholarship programmes, scientific research, career guidance, campus development and community projects. The initiatives reflect Vietcombank's broader commitment to integrating business growth with corporate social responsibility.

A Vietcombank representative said the bank had always placed people at the heart of its development strategy and viewed investment in education as an investment in sustainable growth.

The representative added that the comprehensive partnership with FTU would create more opportunities for young people to gain practical experience, develop professional capabilities and prepare for international integration. The people-first approach, the representative noted, has contributed to Vietcombank's recognition over many years as one of Asia's Best Companies to Work For and one of Việt Nam's Most Attractive Employer Brands among university students.
