Beginning June 2, 2025, the electric shuttle service began operating between four key Vietcombank office locations in Hanoi. The route runs in both directions from Monday to Friday, between 7:00AM and 6:30PM.

A second bus route is scheduled to begin service on June 15, 2025, expanding the coverage from the 11B Cat Linh building to Vietcombank headquarter.

On the morning of June 12, 2025, representatives from the Hanoi People’s Committee, Hoan Kiem District authorities, the Hanoi Department of Construction, Vingroup, and Vietcombank jointly pressed the ceremonial launch button, marking the official debut of the Vietcombank Green Bus

With this initiative, Vietcombank becomes the first bank in Vietnam to deploy an internal electric bus system for employee transportation. The effort promotes sustainable commuting habits among Vietcombank’s more than 24,000 employees while supporting optimal, low-emission operations that conserve resources and help ease urban traffic congestion. It is also a concrete demonstration of the bank’s commitment to sustainable development — starting from within.

Turning ESG from words into action

From the successful issuance of Vietnam’s first VND2,000 billion green bond to expanding its green credit portfolio and partnering with international institutions such as JBIC, AFD, and KfW, Vietcombank is leading the way in sustainable finance across the region. In 2024, green lending continued to grow, with loans for environmentally friendly projects accounting for 3.3% of the bank’s total credit portfolio. Vietcombank was also ranked among the Top 20 companies in Vietnam’s Sustainable Development Index (VNSI). All of its headquarters and major buildings have implemented energy-saving solutions.
