Vietcombank reduces lending interest rates to support individuals and businesses affected by Storm No. 3 (Yagi)

Over the years, Vietcombank has been a leader in implementing policies and programs to reduce interest rates, supporting individuals and businesses in their growth, thereby contributing to the stabilization and development of Vietnam’s economy.

In light of the severe impacts and damages caused by Typhoon Yagi in recent days, many provinces in the northern region have suffered significant losses in both lives and property. In alignment with the directives of the Government and the State Bank of Vietnam, and with the aim of supporting communities and businesses to overcome challenges, restore operations, and stabilize lives, Vietcombank is pleased to announce the implementation of a "policy to reduce lending interest rates for individuals and businesses affected by Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi)."

Under this policy, Vietcombank will reduce lending interest rates by up to 2% per year, taking into account the specific conditions of the affected areas and industries, particularly in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors.

This policy applies to both existing and new loans for individuals and businesses whose operations have been impacted by Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi), with the effective period running from September 6, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

Vietcombank believes these actions will effectively demonstrate our commitment to implementing the Government’s and State Bank of Vietnam’s directives, as we work towards the shared goal of supporting our customers and communities in overcoming the consequences of Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi).

We look forward to your continued support and engagement in the future.
