SMS OTP is an authentication method where a One-Time Password (OTP) is sent via text message to the mobile phone number registered with the VCB Digibank service of the customer.

VCB Smart OTP is an authentication method where the OTP is generated by an application installed on the customer's mobile device (Smartphone, iPad, tablet, etc.).

The VCB Smart OTP authentication method includes two forms:

1. Independent VCB Smart OTP application: Used to authenticate transactions on the web version of VCB Digibank.

2. Integrated VCB Smart OTP application: Used to authenticate transactions on the mobile application of VCB Digibank.

OTP is automatically sent by the Vietcombank system to individual customers through the following methods:

• SMS OTP
• Vietcombank Smart OTP

To ensure security, the password used for VCB Digibank service must be between 7 to 20 characters in length, including a combination of lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters: @, #, $, %, etc.
