VCB Tablet wins Gold Award for Digital Innovation at ASEAN Digital Awards 2026

Vietcombank’s VCB Tablet solution has been honoured with the Gold Award in the Digital Innovation category at the ASEAN Digital Awards (ADA) 2026, one of the region’s most prestigious technology awards recognising solutions with strong innovation, practical value and scalability across ASEAN.

At the award ceremony, held on the evening of January 15, 2026, as part of the 6th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting (ADGMIN) in Hanoi, Vietcombank Deputy General Director Phung Nguyen Hai Yen received the Gold Award on behalf of the bank

VCB Tablet is a digital banking solution designed to support Vietcombank’s sales staff in serving customers both inside and outside traditional transaction points. Built on a unified digital platform with a modular, microservices-based architecture and the latest technologies, the solution meets international security standards. It integrates multi-factor digital identification methods, including MoC, MoS and VNeID, connects with the National Population Database, and is seamlessly linked to Vietcombank’s core banking systems, ensuring high accuracy while helping to reduce the risk of online transaction fraud.

As part of Vietcombank’s branch digitalisation ecosystem - designed, developed, operated and continuously upgraded by the bank - VCB Tablet has helped redefine the banking experience. The solution goes beyond the confines of physical branches, enabling services to be delivered directly at customer locations such as industrial parks, schools and hospitals. This allows bank staff to carry out transactions and serve customers anytime and anywhere, bringing banking services closer to individuals and businesses and marking a milestone in the development of mobile banking services.

VCB Tablet has digitalised multiple service delivery journeys for both retail and corporate customers, offering a seamless and enhanced user experience. Automated form filling and on-device electronic signatures significantly reduce paperwork and printing, lower operating costs, and improve efficiency while modernising branch operations and enhancing customer satisfaction. Notably, the solution has been deployed to serve Vietcombank’s foreign direct investment (FDI) clients in China, Singapore, Taiwan (China), South Korea and Thailand, underscoring its strong potential for wider regional rollout.

Prior to receiving the Gold Award at the ASEAN Digital Awards, the VCB Tablet branch digitalisation solution had already earned recognition from several prestigious industry awards, including the Sao Khue Award in the category of new products, solutions and services, and the Asian Banking & Finance Awards for Risk Initiative of the Year.
