VCBNeo Digital Technology Commercial Bank Limited, formerly known as Construction Bank, officially unveiled its new brand identity, VCBNeo, along with the launch of its redesigned digital banking app, NeoOne, and the new website at vcbneo.com.vn.
This launch marks a major step forward in the bank’s transformation journey, following its official transition to Vietcombank as part of a mandated transfer process. Now positioned as a digital-first entity within Vietcombank’s ecosystem, VCBNeo is set to play a key role in advancing the group’s vision of inclusive, technology-driven financial services.
The new brand identity is centered around the slogan “Digital for All”, with the VCBNeo logo inheriting Vietcombank’s signature green colour and visual elements — a nod to the legacy of one of Vietnam’s most respected financial institutions. The name “Neo” stands for “New Electronic Omnichannel,” capturing the core values of innovation, digital integration, and seamless multi-channel service.
Symbolically, the arrangement of the letters in “VCBNeo” can also be read as “OneVCB” when reversed, underscoring VCBNeo’s integral role in the Vietcombank family and its commitment to contributing to the group's unified strategic vision.
A VCBNeo spokesperson emphasized that the rebranding is not simply a change in appearance, but rather a bold step in the bank’s digital evolution. The new identity reflects a deeper strategic commitment to offering flexible, customer-centric digital banking solutions, while enhancing the user experience through faster, safer, and more intuitive financial services.
In alignment with Vietcombank’s long-term strategy of expanding a sustainable financial ecosystem, VCBNeo is also focusing on reaching out to underbanked populations and first-time banking customers. With this inclusive approach, the bank aims to accompany customers throughout their financial journeys, supporting growth and access.
Coinciding with the brand launch, VCBNeo introduced NeoOne — a completely new digital banking app designed for individual users. Impressively developed in just five months, far quicker than the industry average of around fifteen months, NeoOne marks a significant technological milestone.
“We received strong supports from experienced Vietcombank staff and a clear focus on streamlining core operations. In particular, the successful migration of core banking and IT systems — a task that would typically take two to three years — was completed in less than six months,” the representative added.
NeoOne, now available on both iOS and Android devices, replaces the former CBway app and offers customers an upgraded suite of digital banking features. These include fast, 24/7 money transfers, QR code payments, competitive online savings accounts, and personal finance management tools. The app is designed to be continuously updated, with more advanced features expected in the near future.
The broader digital transformation at VCBNeo also includes a full upgrade of its core banking infrastructure to meet Vietcombank’s highest technical and security standards. These enhancements not only ensure stronger data protection but also enable the development of a wider range of digital-first financial products and services tailored to modern customer needs.
To complement the digital shift, all 92 VCBNeo branches nationwide have been renovated to reflect the new brand identity, combining physical service with digital integration. This hybrid approach aims to deliver a more connected and comprehensive customer experience across all touchpoints.
To celebrate the launch, VCBNeo has also introduced a number of special customer care initiatives across its entire network.
At the launch event, senior executives from Vietcombank and VCBNeo, including members of the board and executive leadership, shared their strategic vision for the future of the bank. Guests and participants also had the chance to explore the new app and experience firsthand the innovations being rolled out under the VCBNeo banner.
