Vietcombank donates VND1 billion to fund for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in My Hao Town, Hung Yen Province

On February 23, 2025, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) donated VNĐ1 billion to the fund for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in My Hao Town, Hung Yen Province.

Mr. Le Quang Hien shared that the number of poor and disadvantaged households in the area has gradually decreased thanks to State support policies and the cooperation of businesses, particularly Vietcombank. Each year, the bank dedicates significant resources to social security initiatives in the town, including supporting efforts to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and contributing to the education promotion fund.

With over 60 years of development, Vietcombank is a bank with a rich history and a leading role in the industry. The bank has made substantial contributions to social welfare, allocating significant resources and effort. In 2024 alone, Vietcombank committed VNĐ861 billion and implemented VNĐ571 billion for various social security programs in different regions.

In October 2024, Vietcombank donated VNĐ100 billion to support the nationwide initiative to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, under the theme "Warm Homes for My Fellow Citizens," launched by the Prime Minister and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In response to the Prime Minister's call, Vietcombank, together with the community and businesses, is committed to accelerating the effort and making further strides toward eliminating all temporary and dilapidated houses. The spirit of this initiative is to ensure that everyone has a prosperous, happy life, with national love and solidarity, leaving no one behind in the nation rise era.
