Recently, Storm No. 3 (Yagi) wreaked havoc across several northern provinces, causing significant damage. In line with the spirit of “sharing food and clothes” and the national tradition of “mutual love and support,” Vietcombank has actively engaged in initiatives to assist those affected by the storm and flooding.
On September 10, during a ceremony organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vietcombank donated VND2 billion alongside contributions from the banking sector to support those impacted by Storm No. 3.
Additionally, Vietcombank’s Trade Union rallied all members and employees to contribute, with each person encouraged to donate a minimum of one day's salary. Overall, donations from the entire Vietcombank system exceeded VND13 billion.
On September 23-24, 2024, Vietcombank organized a delegation led by Mr. Hong Quang, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Vietcombank Trade Union, to provide direct support to communities in Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai - the four regions most severely affected by the storm.

Our goal is to help communities overcome challenges, stabilize production, and rebuild their lives.
To assist customers impacted by Storm No. 3, we have implemented a policy to reduce lending interest rates by up to 0.5% from September 6, 2024, to December 31, 2024, specifically for businesses and individuals in affected areas. Moreover, our officials, union members, and employees are wholeheartedly dedicating their efforts to help those impacted by the storm, offering support to provinces and cities that have suffered damage.”
