Use the VCB Digibank app to scan and pay with QR codes in Laos.

Following the successful implementation of cross-border QR payments with Thailand, Vietcombank continues to lead the way by introducing cross-border QR payment services between Vietnam and Laos.

Starting December 20, 2024, Vietcombank customers traveling or working in Laos can use the VCB Digibank app to scan QR codes and make payments at any vendor displaying the LAPNET logo (Laos Payment Network). When customers shop and pay, Vietcombank’s system will deduct the amount in VND from their account and automatically pay the merchant in LAK. This seamless, automated process ensures a smooth and quick payment experience.

Service Details

Applicable exchange rate: Based on the rate at the time of the transaction via QR code.
Transaction limit: Up to 500,000,000 VND.
Service fee policy:0.1% of the transaction value (minimum 1,000 VND/transaction).

How to Use the Service

1. Step 1: Log in to VCB Digibank >> Scan the QR code with the LAPNET logo.
2. Step 2:VCB Digibank will display merchant details, the exchange rate, service fee, and transaction amount.
3. Step 3: Confirm the transaction using the designated authentication method.
4. Step 4: The system processes the transaction and notifies the customer of the result.
