Vietcombank adjusts service fees notification of changes in account balance via SMS from January 1, 2024

Starting from January 1, 2024, Vietcombank implements adjustments to the fee calculation mechanism and the fee level for maintaining the proactive SMS service (service notifying changes in account balance via SMS) as follows:

10,000 VND/month/phone number

Fee based on the number of SMS messages generated per month:

Under 20 messages/month/phone number: 10,000 VND/month/phone number.
Over 20 messages/month/phone number: Charged based on the actual number of messages generated during the month with a fee of 700 VND/message.

Other regulations

Stop sending balance change messages for transactions valued under 50,000 VND

Note:

The fees mentioned above do not include VAT.
Proactive SMS is a service to receive notifications of account balance changes, international card spending transactions, loan principal repayment schedules, loan interest, etc., via SMS.

To continue receiving balance change notifications without charges, you can switch to receiving notifications via OTT messages directly on the VCB Digibank app, following the instructions below:

If you are already using VCB Digibank: Activate the feature to receive balance change notifications via OTT messages on the app according to the instructions HERE, then cancel the proactive SMS service by sending the message "VCB CD HUY" to 6167.
If you haven't used VCB Digibank yet: Download the app and register for VCB Digibank online in just a few minutes following the instructions HERE, then cancel the proactive SMS service by sending the message "VCB CD HUY" to 6167.

Note: During the process of activating the feature to receive balance change notifications via OTT messages on the VCB Digibank app, you can also cancel the proactive SMS service following the instructions on the screen without having to send a text message.

To accompany our customers, from January 1, 2024, until the end of March 31, 2024, Vietcombank will waive the fee for 1 month of proactive SMS service for customers who do not wish to continue maintaining the service and proceed to cancel it. Each customer is entitled to this waiver only once during the month of service cancellation. In the event that a customer re-registers for the proactive SMS service at any time, Vietcombank will charge the applicable fee effective at the time of successful re-registration.
