The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) has recently detected a number of fraudulent fanpages impersonating the Vietcombank Run & Share 2025 event, with the intent to deceive and misappropriate funds from individuals interested in registering for the run.
These fraudulent pages unlawfully use the event’s logo, images, and branding to create a false sense of legitimacy. Scammers have been encouraging people to transfer money for registration purposes, and even guiding them to join groups on platforms like Zalo or Telegram, where they are assigned so-called “tasks” in exchange for incentives such as waived registration fees or free gifts.
These “tasks” often involve transferring money to personal or organisational accounts, with promises of immediate refunds. Initially, the scammers may return the money along with a small profit to build trust. However, once the victims transfer larger sums, the fraudsters sever all contact and disappear with the funds.
Vietcombank confirms that the Vietcombank Run & Share 2025 event is completely free of registration fees. All official information about the event is available exclusively through the following channels:

Vietcombank strongly advises customers and the public to register only through the official channels. Do not transfer money or follow instructions from any unofficial fanpage or messaging group. Before participating in any event, ensure the legitimacy of the organiser to protect yourself from scams. If you suspect fraudulent activity, please report it immediately to the relevant authorities for prompt investigation and action.
Similar impersonation incidents occurred in 2024 involving other Vietcombank-sponsored or organised running events, prompting the bank to issue an earlier public warning.
